The Singalila Ridge Trek is the ultimate Himalayan experience in Eastern India. This 7-day adventure takes you from Rimbick through ancient rhododendron forests, across the Indo-Nepal border, to West Bengal's highest point at Sandakphu (3,636m) and onwards to Phalut.
The reward? An unparalleled view of four of the world's five highest peaks: Everest, Kanchenjunga, Lhotse, and Makalu. The famous "Sleeping Buddha" silhouette of these peaks at sunrise is a sight you'll carry with you forever.

7 Days Trek Overview (~68 km)
Arrive at Rimbick, your starting point for the Singalila adventure. Spend the day acclimatizing to the altitude with short walks around the village. Enjoy the peaceful mountain atmosphere and prepare for the days ahead.
Begin your trek through dense rhododendron forests. The gradual ascent takes you through charming mountain villages and offers your first glimpses of the Himalayan panorama. Reach Gurdum by afternoon and settle into your lodge.
The most challenging and rewarding day. Climb steadily to West Bengal's highest point. Pass through Kalipokhri and enter Singalila National Park. The summit reveals the legendary 'Sleeping Buddha' – a panoramic view of Everest, Kanchenjunga, Lhotse, and Makalu.
Wake before dawn for the legendary Sandakphu sunrise – watching four of the world's five highest peaks glow golden. Trek along the Indo-Nepal border ridge to Phalut, the second highest peak in West Bengal, with continuous Himalayan views.
Descend from Phalut through pristine alpine meadows and forests. The trail offers different perspectives of the mountains as you lose altitude. Reach Samanden, a peaceful hamlet perfect for rest.
Continue descending through diverse forest ecosystems – magnolia, silver fir, and bamboo groves. Pass through Sherpa and Lepcha villages, experiencing authentic mountain culture. Arrive at Upper Srikhola for your final night on the trail.
A short walk brings you to the road head at Srikhola. From here, vehicles will take you to Siliguri or your onward destination. Bid farewell to the mountains and your fellow trekkers, carrying memories that will last a lifetime.
